In an interview with the New York Times about this revelation (Sidebar: Can you believe this actually made the New York Times?), Whedon made it clear that this revelation doesn't mean Buffy's gay now, or even bisexual-identified.
"We're not going to make her gay, nor are we going to take the next 50 issues explaining that she's not," Whedon told the Times. "She's young and experimenting, and did I mention open-minded?" So basically, she's just like the rest of the straight women out there these days, it seems. Whedon told the Times he was already imaging the humorous situation this could create with Willow (Buffy's lesbian best friend), suggesting, "Willow might be defensive about it: 'Well, I didn't want to sleep with you anyway.'"
Heh. I like how Joss thinks. But forget Willow for a moment — how jealous is Faith going to be when she finds out?

Elecciones en España: El PSOE y la izquierda son las propuestas gayfriendly

La Fundación Triángulo realizó una comparativa de programas electorales • La entidad LGBT los programas más completos son los de Partido Socialista Obrero Español e Izquierda Unida.

La organización que trabaja por los derechos LGBT asegura que los programas más completos son los de PSOE (Partido Socialista Obrero Español), IU (Izquierda Unida), Iniciativa por Cataluña Verdes e Izquierda Unida y Alternativa (ICV-EUiA) e Izquierda Republicana de Cataluña (ERC).

Convergència i Unió Catalunya (CiU) no incluye absolutamente nada en su programa electoral sobre gays y lesbianas, ni tan siquiera sobre prevención del SIDA. Otros partidos tampoco salen muy bien parados. Las menciones en el programa del Partido Nacionalista Vasco (PNV) en realidad ni siquiera hablan de gays y lesbianas, hay una referida a SIDA y otra a la pensión de viudedad de las parejas de hecho.

Por su parte la Coalición Canaria (CC), al igual que en el 2004, hace una única mención a la equiparación de los matrimonios a las parejas de hecho y nada más. Solidaridad Vasca (EA) hace una pequeñísima mención, muy insuficiente y ni siquiera hace alguna propuesta.

PSOE, IU, ERC e ICV-EUiA son claramente los que de una forma más extensa ofrecen un amplio catálogo de temas que abordarán en la próxima legislatura en cuestiones LGBT, mientras que el Bloque Nacionalista Gallego (BNG), Chunta Aragonesista (CHA) y Navarra Si (NaBAi-Nafarroa Bai) se quedan en un punto medio, con algunas menciones, no demasiado extensas, pero de claro compromiso.

El Partido Popular (PP) es un caso aparte, sólo hace dos menciones, una de ellas habla del SIDA en África y otra en la que se compromete de forma expresa a apoyar la «plena igualdad de derechos» independientemente de la orientación sexual. No hay, en el programa del PP, ni una palabra, sobre que vaya a quitar el matrimonio, ni tampoco ofrece ninguna ley de parejas alternativa. Pero sí se sabe, por las declaraciones de su líder, que se ha comprometido a quitar el matrimonio, a quitar el derecho de adopción y a poner una ley de parejas o similar.

Nada de eso aparece en su programa, con lo cual el valor del programa del PP es ninguno, ya que lo que promete en las entrevistas de prensa no viene en el programa, e incluir en éste que se apoya la plena igualdad para gays y lesbianas para después reconocer que se les va a quitar el matrimonio y la adopción sólo podemos calificarlo de intento de engaño a la ciudadanía.

Para Miguel Ángel Sánchez, presidente estatal de Fundación Triángulo «la falta de ninguna mención en el programa de CiU es muy decepcionante, más cuando algunos de sus diputados han apoyado las políticas a favor de gays y lesbianas. Nos tememos que la parte más conservadora de la coalición es la que ha impuesto sus tesis a la hora de elaborar el programa. Coalición Canaria, PNV y EA hacen menciones muy insuficientes, prácticamente gays, lesbianas, transexuales y la lucha contra el SIDA no existen para ellos, nos parece muy criticable en partidos democráticos y que en varios casos se definen como progresistas».

Sánchez añadió que «desde Fundación Triángulo valoramos muy positivamente la apuesta por la igualdad de PSOE, IU, ERC, ICV-EUiA y aunque en menor grado también de BNG, CHA y NaBai. Sobre el PP sólo podemos decir que pensamos que están intentando engañar a los ciudadanos. En su programa dicen que trabajarán por la plena igualdad de derechos, pero el Señor. Rajoy ya ha dicho que nos quitará el derecho al matrimonio y a la adopción, si puede. Confiamos en que el Parlamento y la sociedad española no le dejen quitar derechos a los ciudadanos».

Apples, novedosa miniserie lésbica española en internet

Desde su origen, está pensada y diseñada para su exhibición en internet • Se trata de un producto de libre acceso • El proyecto surgió como consecuencia de un estudio de mercado intuitivo.

Apples consta de siete capítulos, como el número de sus protagonistas, y cuenta las azarosas vidas de un grupo de estudiantes lesbianas, una maniquí y una gata de peluche.

La historia se desarrolla en dos pisos situados en el mismo edificio, uno justo encima del otro, donde sus protagonistas se mudan al ritmo de los vaivenes de sus relaciones personales y sentimentales. Todo esto aderezado con el ingrediente de un amor imposible de proporciones épicas al mejor estilo Julieta y Julieta.

El proyecto surgió como consecuencia de un estudio de mercado intuitivo. Para las creadoras existe un público desatendido, deseoso de un tipo de material prácticamente inexistente en el mercado español.

No ajenas al boom de los productos audiovisuales en internet y su filosofía "selfmade", las creadoras han decidido cubrir una demanda insatisfecha, refugiada en productos anglosajones.

El formato elegido es claramente intencional. La primera entrega de esta miniserie persigue fidelizar un público carente de referentes.

Apples pretende acercarnos con asombrosa naturalidad a una realidad ignorada en el medio audiovisual español, desde la libertad con la que está diseñada, al ser una producción absolutamente independiente, ajena a productoras y cadenas televisivas, financiada por las personas que han creído en el proyecto.

Detrás de este novedoso trabajo se encuentra un grupo de profesionales, entre ellos el realizador Alfonso Díaz, así como un elenco de nuevos valores de la interpretación: Marta Villar, Saskia Guanche, Alicia Lobo, Teresa Hernando, Patricia Arizmendi, Gloria March y Karen Owens.

A la cabeza del equipo figuran, Olga Martí y Verónica Segoviano, creadoras de la serie, formadas en la escuela de guión de la Fundación de Investigación Audiovisual de la Universidad Internacional Menéndez Pelayo (FIA-UIMP) de Valencia, donde se conocieron y muy pronto empezaron a desarrollar diferentes proyectos.

¿Cuál personaje de The L Word eres?

Pues debo decir que nunca he sido fan de The L Word, me han gustado algunos episodios, si ; he visto la serie completa, también, pero no he llegado a fanatizarme al punto de comerme las uñas esperando que salga la próxima temporada. De la serie que he sido una friki total ha sido de Xena: Warrior Princess, y aún me quedan relamazos de fanatismo que me llegan de imprevisto y que me llevan a poner mi dvd un dia domingo y verme una temporada entera de una sola sentada. Pero de L Word, hum, ni fu ni fa, me gusta tal cosa de un episodio y tal otra de otro episodio, así todo suelto.

Pero tengo k reconocer (muy a mi pesar), que la 5ta temporada sí que me está atrapando y la estoy siguiendo con mucha atención :D ¿me estaré volviendo friki?? ¡humm noooooo, no creo ! Pero sí que me gusta y mucho ^_^ , al menos más que las temporadas anteriores.

Gobernó durante menos de un mes porque tuvo que dejar su cargo al padecer una grave enfermedad. Sin embargo, durante ese tiempo y, a pesar de que se sabía que era lesbiana, no fue criticada ni por sus contrincantes políticos ni por los medios de comunicación en general.

A veces habla de su experiencia personal en sus relatos como cuando, por ejemplo, una de las víctimas en uno de sus libros era el Primer Ministro del Gobierno noruego.
