THE LESBIAN IN OLD GREECE

John Addington Symonds (1840-1893) was a pioneer in the field of gay rights, and the first historian of male homosexuality. When in 1858 he read the dialogues of Plato (and Fedro The Symposium) realized that there had been a noble homosexuality, but the manifestations of

Expulsada de una hermandad por lesbiana

El Obispado de Ciudad Real ha obligado a la Hermandad de la Virgen de la Encarnación de Abenójar a expulsar a una de sus miembros por haberse casado con otra mujer.

Casarse con una persona del mismo sexo supone un escándalo público. Es lo que cree el Obispado de Ciudad Real, que ha obligado a la Hermandad de la Virgen de la Encarnación de Abenójar a expulsar a María Rey Santos, de 54 años, por la única razón de ser lesbiana y de haber formalizado con un matrimonio una relación de pareja de más de 17 años de duración.

"No he incumplido ninguna norma de los estatutos de la hermandad y es un decisión totalmente injusta", explicó ayer la propia María en conversación telefónica. Su expulsión se produjo el pasado agosto, publicó ayer La Tribuna de Ciudad Real. Cinco meses antes, en febrero, María se casó con la que ha sido su pareja durante 17 años. Fue entonces cuando el cura de Abenójar, una localidad de unos 1.600 habitantes, le comunicó que no podía seguir siendo vicepresidenta de la hermandad porque estaba casada con una mujer.

"Yo no le hice caso porque además había sido elegida por votación en listas abiertas en la hermandad, incluso después de casarme", señala la mujer. Pero en agosto llegó la carta del obispado: o se iba o se disolvía la hermandad. María ha recurrido su expulsión y está a la espera a que se resuelva el asunto. Mientras tanto, hoy acudirá a la romería de la Encarnación, como cada año. "Me siento muy apoyada por los vecinos, aunque defraudada" por la Iglesia, dice.

DOCTORA: Es que la homofobia, el rechazo a los homosexuales, ha sido una cosa terrible en la historia humana… ha durado siglos y todavía hoy persiste… Las religiones los han señalado como culpables… Los gobiernos fanáticos los han perseguido y castigado…

MUJER: ¿Usted le recomendaría a mi amigo que vaya a un psicólogo?

DOCTORA: Sí, claro, si está angustiado, que vaya. Pero no para que el psicólogo le cambie su orientación, porque eso no se cambia. El psicólogo lo que hará será ayudarle a aceptarse como homosexual.

DOCTORA: ¿Sí, dime?

CHICA: Doctora, yo a veces sueño que tengo relaciones con otras chicas… ¿Eso significa que soy lesbiana?

DOCTORA: No. Los sueños tienen muchos significados… Tener fantasías sexuales con personas del mismo sexo no quiere decir homosexualidad… Por cierto, ¿qué edad tienes tú?

CHICA: 15 años, doctora.

DOCTORA: Es que a esa edad muchas veces no están las cosas claras… La orientación sexual se produce en la infancia, pero en la adolescencia se consolida.

CHICA: Doctora, ¿y si no fuera en sueños… sino en la realidad? ¿Usted me entiende?

DOCTORA: Me quieres decir que has tenido una relación con otra chica, ¿verdad?

CHICA: Sí, doctora…

DOCTORA: Pero eso no quiere decir que seas lesbiana. A lo mejor, sí, pero no necesariamente. A veces, un joven, o una joven como tú, tiene una conducta homosexual por miedo al sexo contrario… O por conocer algo nuevo… Pero esas experiencias no definen la orientación sexual de una persona.

CHICA: ¿Y qué hago, entonces, doctora, qué hago?

DOCTORA: Lo primero, no ponerte nerviosa. Y darle tiempo al tiempo… Ya verás cómo las cosas se te irán aclarando.

CHICO: Doctora, en mi caso… en mi caso yo sí soy homosexual. Gay.

DOCTORA: ¿Estás seguro?

CHICO: Claro, yo lo sé… lo sé porque lo siento… pero no me atrevo a decirlo, no me atrevo... ¿Qué me aconseja usted?

DOCTORA: Que salgas del closet, del armario. Ten confianza en ti mismo y habla con tu familia, con tus amigos. Tú tienes derecho a ser y a vivir feliz, sin esa angustia.

Circuit, un importante evento Lésbico/Gay en Barcelona

Una asidua lectora de nuestro querido blog, Irene, nos comentó hoy por mail, que este verano habrá muchos eventos Lésbicos/Gays en Barcelona, que es actualmente considerada la Capital Gay del mundo por todas sus actividades gayfriendlys.

Uno de los más destacados es Circuit, que se presentará desde el 4 al 11 de Agosto y serán 7 días seguidos de pura fiesta, con los mejores DJ's y personas de hasta 30 nacionalidades distintas.

Como lo describe Irene, Circuit " nace como un híbrido entre la mejor cultura de ocio nocturno y las propuestas más diversas para el tiempo libre, digamos, diurno. Como pasa en estos casos, hay mucha atención al sector Gay del evento... pero me alegra poder decir que en esta ocasión se le da mucha importancia a las chicas, que para eso estamos en la organización"

Chile: Escolares lesbianas vuelven a clases

31 de marzo, 2008 (OpusGay.cl).- Hasta el final dijo M.J.H que iba a luchar para volver a clases. Y así lo hizo, pues desde hoy esta escolar lesbiana y su pareja pudieron reintegrarse al Centro Politécnico de San Ramón, establecimiento que las había expulsado la semana anterior en razón de su orientación sexual.

El reingreso es uno de los más importantes del total de 18 casos de homofobia, lesbofobia y transfobia en el sistema educacional registrado en Chile desde el 2002 a la fecha, pues la alumna fue reincorporada sin ningún tipo de condicionamiento.

"El colegio le pidió a la menor que fuera a un psicólogo y le exigió que firmara un documento donde se comprometía a abandonar el colegio frente a cualquier problema, como si ella hubiese cometido el error y no el liceo que la estaba discriminado", señaló el Movimiento de Integración y Liberación Homosexual (Movilh) que ayer se reunió con la dirección y la madre de M.J.H.

El liceo además había condicionado el reingreso de las menores a que el Movilh pidiera disculpas públicas por la protesta que organizó el pasado viernes en el frontis del establecimiento, "pero obviamente nos negamos. Y lo más importante fue que el colegio recapacitó y reincorporó a las chicas desde hoy, sin ningún tipo de exigencia".

Este nuevo triunfo en el sistema educacional, posible gracias a la valentía de alumnas que denuncian la discriminación, se suma a otros 17 casos que ha resuelto el Movilh en beneficio de unos 40 escolares.

Sexualidad: La eyaculación femenina

Diez cosas que debes saber sobre eyaculación femenina

Ya Hipócrates habló en su momento del semen femenino, y luego fue Galeno quien defendió la existencia de un líquido seminal en la mujer. Incluso De Graaf en 1672, postuló que había una próstata femenina o “corpus glandulosum”, que segregaba un líquido, convirtiendo a la mujer en más libidinosa. Es decir, todos ellos, ya en sus épocas hablaron de cierta manera de la eyaculación femenina.

Y ¿qué entendemos por ella?. Nos referimos a la expulsión de líquido a través de la uretra o de la vagina (tema aún en discusión) en pleno orgasmo. Su líquido es generado por las Glándulas de Skene o Parauretrales y no se parecen en consistencia y en sus componentes al semen masculino.

Según un estudio realizado por la Florida State University en Tallase, 82% de las mujeres confesaron haber experimentado una liberación de fluido en el momento del orgasmo. Aquí te contamos 10 cosas fundamentales que tienes que saber sobre el tema.

1. De que existe, existe: el médico y sexólogo, Cabello F., ha estudiado bastante del tema y en una de sus publicaciones afirma que, pese a la controversia en este tema, la eyaculación femenina sí existe. “Nosotros pensamos que independientemente de la existencia de incontinencia urinaria en algunos casos, la mayoría de las mujeres “eyaculan”, existiendo variaciones en la cantidad del líquido emitido y/o posiblemente en la dirección de la emisión”, explica el especialista.

2. No a todas se les nota: es muy posible que quienes no ven algún tipo de eyección de líquido durante el orgasmo, se deba a que el producto de la “próstata femenina” sea muy escaso o porque se dirige retrógradamente hacia vejiga, tal como ocurre en la eyaculación retrógrada de algunos hombres. Ahora bien, investigadores como Emanuele Jannini de la Universidad L´Aquila en Italia (2002) aseguran que la razón por la que algunas ven esta eyección y otras no, es debido a que las aperturas de la glándula de Skene varían en tamaño de una mujer a otra. Y si ellas causan la eyaculación femenina, se podría explicar la ausencia visible de este fenómeno en varias mujeres.

3. De dónde viene: la posible estructura anatómica de la supuesta eyaculación sería la siguiente: tal como apuntan Testud y Latarjet (1975), alrededor de la uretra se disponen abundantes glándulas uretrales y parauretrales a las que nominan en su conjunto “próstata femenina”.

4. Su provocación: la eyaculación femenina pareciera ser estimulada en el famoso punto G (de Gräfenberg) al interior de la vagina.

5. De qué está compuesta: Lo primero es advertir que por no tener una función reproductiva, no contiene ningún elemento con ese fin, como los espermatozoides en el caso de los hombres. Estudios han demostrado que este líquido tiene una composición diferente a la orina (aunque puede estar presente en bajas cantidades), reuniendo glucosa, fosfatasa ácida prostática y antígeno prostático específico, además de urea y creatina.

6. No hay qué avergonzarse: muchas veces esta expulsión de líquido produce turbación en la mujer que la confunde con orina, lo que puede producir que en este afán de controlarse, "aprenda a no tener orgasmos". En todo caso deberíamos plantearnos de que “mas allá de que en realidad se trate de orina o eyaculación, es producto del placer y por nada del mundo deberíamos avergonzarnos o reprimirnos”, señala la experta, Lic. María Carolina Bedetti Thompson.

7. Permitir liberarse: si es que se desea comprobar si se tiene la capacidad de eyacular el suficiente líquido como para ser visto sin problemas, es indispensable que la mujer acepte sus fluidos corporales como normales en su vida. Sólo así se permitirá soltar la presión de las ganas de eyacular o de la sensación de que algo liberará.

8. De cuánto estamos hablando: según estudios, la cantidad de líquido liberado por las glándulas parauretrales varía de una mujer a otra, y va desde sólo unas gotas hasta casi dos tazas (444 ml.). Y se sabe que cuanto más dure su orgasmo, más eyacularía.

9. Dónde están las glándulas productoras: la abertura uretral se ubica sobre la apertura de la vagina, debajo del clítoris. Ahora bien, a simple vista no se ven las glándulas, pero éstas se ubican dentro de la vagina, en su pared anterior, rodeando la uretra y desembocando en ella a través de pequeños orificios.

10. Tocar el punto justo: la estimulación del clítoris es esencial para lograr la eyaculación femenina. Y es que si no es bien estimulado, la mujer no se excita lo necesario para que sus glándulas parauretrales se llenen de fluido. Asimismo, es menos probable que ella alcance el orgasmo, limitando las contracciones rítmicas de los músculos pélvicos que expelen la eyaculación. Un consejo: previo al encuentro sexual, se recomienda pasar al baño y vaciar la vejiga. De esta forma podrás sentirte tranquila que al sentir deseos de orinar cuando estás en el peak de tu excitación, te dejes llevar y liberes los fluidos, que en esta caso no será orina, sino que eyaculación natural.

Tove Jansson (1914 - 2001) Daughter of sculptor Viktor Jansson and illustrator Signe Hammarsten-Jansson, writer, illustrator, painter and world-renowned creator of "The Moomins," Marika Tove Jansson was born on August 9, 1914 in a Swedish community in Helsinki, Finland. The museum in Tampere Moomin Valley exhibits much of Jansson on the Moomins. There is also a theme park called Moomin World in Naantali. Both are big tourist attractions in Finland. The rights of The Moomins have been in the hands of Sophia Jansson, daughter of Tove's brother, Lars. With the intention of keeping the rights in the hands of the family, Sophia has rejected the offers made by the Walt Disney Company.
