ISRAEL AUTHORIZES THE ADOPTION OF CHILDREN BY GAY COUPLES


Israeli Justice formally recognized the adoption of children by homosexual couples. Gays and lesbians not only be authorized to adopt the biological children of same-sex partner, but also to other children. The legal advisor of the Government announced that the State would not oppose in the future to such adoptions.
"The state has no objection at all to same-sex couples adopt a child," said Mazuz in a meeting with those responsible for the adoption services, according to a communiqué from the Ministry of Justice.
