RetroLez 11: Marlene Dietrich

La actriz y cantante Marlene Dietrich nació en 1901, en Berlín (Alemania). Su verdadero nombre era Marie Magdalene Dietrich von Losch. Cuando era niña le gustaba llamarse a sí misma "Paul", dejando ya entrever su dualidad sexual. Su padre era un policía de la aristocracia prusiana. Sometida a una estricta educación, desde muy pequeña demostró su aptitud para la música y el canto. A los 16 años debutó como violinista vestida de varón. Estudió en la escuela de teatro de Max Reinhardt. A los 23 años contrajo matrimonio con un ayudante de reparto, Rudolf Sieber, del que nunca se divorció y con el que tuvo una niña llamada María (a la que apodaba Heidede). En los años 20 trabajó como actriz de teatro y en el cine mudo. Su papel en la película "El ángel azul", a las órdenes del director Josef von Sternberg, cautivó a los espectadores, y de esa asociación entre actriz y director surgieron siete películas más, entre ellas "Marruecos", "La venus rubia" y "El diablo es una mujer". Marlene se convirtió en un mito erótico. Otras películas famosas fueron "Deseo" y "Arizona".

En 1939 se nacionalizó estadounidense por su rechazo al nazismo y actuó en múltiples ocasiones para las tropas americanas durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial. Después de la guerra protagonizó las películas "Testigo de cargo", "¿Vencedores o vencidos?" y "Gigolo". Al comienzo de su carrera, una compañera de reparto, Claire Waldoff, inició a Dietrich en el lesbianismo. En 1925 conoció a Greta Garbo durante el rodaje de una película muda, y ambas iniciaron una relación lésbica. Dietrich reconocía su bisexualidad sin tapujos y mantuvo relación con varias mujeres, entre ellas la cantante Edith Piaf y la guionista Mercedes Acosta. En 1938 recibió una impresionante oferta de Adolf Hitler pero Dietrich la rechazó e incluso cantó en numerosas ocasiones para el ejército estadounidense dejando patente su antinazismo. A finales de 1939 mantuvo un romance con Jean Gabin. Su última película fue "Gigolo", en 1978. Murió en 1992, en París, oficialmente de un paro cardíaco (no se le realizó autopsia). Según Norma Bosquet, su confidente y secretaria, Marlene Dietrich se suicidó con somníferos para evitar ser ingresada en una residencia de ancianos. Su tumba ha sido profanada varias veces por grupos nazis que no le perdonan su apoyo a los norteamericanos durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial

Madonna, nuevamente a los besos con una chica en el escenario

La verdad, ya me estaba preocupando un poco de que la leona se estuviera domesticando con el transcurso de los años. Especialmente cuando he leído que le tuvo que explicar a su hija Lourdes -muy mansamente- que beso a Britney "solo para transmitirle su energía".

Pero me da mucha alegría de ver que es cierto lo del viejo refrán que dice que "el zorro pierde el pelo pero no las mañas" :D ¡Y así me gusta ver a Madonna, con una botella en la mano, con una guitarra en la otra, y dándole un beso bien puesto a una mujer sobre el escenario! Esa es la Madonna que todos sus fans aman, con esa chispa transgresora que la llevó a ser quien es.

Esta buenísima escena tuvo lugar en el Olympia de París donde dió un concierto privado para 1.500 personas que presenciaron el espectáculo.

A pesar de las críticas poco entusiastas de su undécimo disco, en el que ha contado con la colaboración de Justin Timberlake, su nuevo álbum Hard candy ya es superventas en todo el mundo.
